The Trimetric only shows what the battery is taking. The charger shows everything it is doing, battery and running any loads. Your fridge etc are a load of about 1 amp so the charger was one amp higher than the battery. Same thing happens with solar.
The loads get handled first by the charger, so once the loads and the battery together max out the charger's amps, then the loads keep getting theirs and the battery gets less.
On the Trimetric it looks like it shows "net amps" but that is just how the math works, not what is really going on. It can be easier on the brain to pretend it is net amps though, since you get the right answer of in and out (charging/drawing)
