I wrote a suggestion as to how to go about getting controlled amperage for a single battery. 100 watts worth of incandescent bulbs renders amperage close enough for 200 ampere hours.(end quote)
100w / 12v = 8.333a (close enough to 10)... 5amps per 100a/h of cap... this i get.
having to hook up light bulbs to my charging circuit when i can buy a variable rate power source... this i don't get. :)
Constant AMPERAGE charge rate.
It starts out at a specific pre-determined rate then holds that amperage from 12.80 all the way to 16.0 volts. The AMPERAGE does not vary. Forget volts. You are striving for a specific predetermined amperage flow.
Until I figured out nichhrome offers the solution I fought this. The light bulb came on, to use a pun.
Equalizing batteries is all about maintaining constant AMPERAGE. Controlled amperage. Specific amperage.
Hope This Helps
