I actually mis-spoke earlier concerning the pm's behaviour, when charging from 11.9v / 40% soc. it didn't actually start in abs, (nor did it start in boost). but rather, it started at 13.02v and 45.7a, and continued on to 13.61v and 12.5a; after which it kicked down to float at 13.15v and 3.2a. so, it had rising volts (like in bulk), but tapering amps (like in abs) ??? it did neither a bulk or abs charge, but some combination of both. this is why i'm concerned with whether it will respond properly to my mod.
... moreover, i just finished doing a discharge of 200 Ah, plugged it in, and the same thing happened... 13.03v and 45.7a. so, i unplugged it, and will try again soon.
UPDATE: after the very short charge that replaced about 3 Ah, the batts rested for about an hour and a half... soc was 12.34v at (-)196Ah. plugged in the pm and got 45.7a at a little less than 13v.
so, it would appear the 75amper is actually a 45.7amper???
