I wonder if you shunt is able to read all the current correctly. No cables should be going directly to the battery (-) that is not going through the shunt.
i don't have a thermometer yet, but i have held the connections and wires throughout, and noticed no excessive heat anywhere, even thru the 6ga wire from batt neg to shunt.
yes, only the one wire to shunt... all others from 2nd post of shunt.
