yes, i had looked at that. that's a "stranded" pigtail adapter, so it will allow for 2ga wire to the pm's 4ga screw connectors, but the wires (of the pigtail) will still get squished. but they also have an acm series, made of aluminum, which is solid. not sure which would be better?
I have two PM3-100s, one is permanently mounted ( mod to 14.8v) so there is no strain on the wires trying to pull out of the terminals.
The other is a prototype PMBC adjustable voltage with external knob etc that I use as portable charger. It has a set of heavy jumper cables I cut one end off of, and use in the terminals and clamp to the batteries with the clamps.
These jumper cables are fat wire with silky thin strands and very hard to keep in the set-screw terminals, so I rigged a "strain relief" from the jumper cable to the casing using the chassis ground lug as an anchor. This keeps the stranded wire from pulling out of the terminals which they will no matter how hard I screw down the set-screws.
Obviously, I would do better with metal lugs that the set-screws can get a good grip on than these silky stranded wires for that application. So the answer depends on whether there is any pulling strain on the wires in their terminals what to do.
( I have photos of this I have posted before that might be found but I don't have enough internet access right now to post them again, sorry)
