when should a powermax pm4b drop into float mode

I certainly hear what you are saying but why is it that I see 45+ amps at 13.7 volts on my so called 60 amp constant current chargers after they drop back (Iota and PM) while I see 35 or less as soon as my voltage based old 9200 drops out of boost? I get faster charging in 2 hours and even rethinking my very old WFCO when I think about it.
