The 9a includes the PF? So 9a x 108v = 972VA
Assuming 0.8PF--- then 972VA = 778 watts
Meanwhile a 35a Vector spec says input required is 600 watts
So a 45 amper would be 45/35 x 600 = 771 watts (near that 778 above)
So the 9a you got is not crazy. What is crazy are all these spec tables that confuse PFs, watts without saying what amps and volts go into the watts number, and confusing "efficiency" with PF. (Note the PF corrected PowerMax ones are given 94% "efficiency" vs 84 for the non-PF ones)
