Have you had the misfortune to try Clutch "G" heads? My Starcraft is full of these and I've pitched a few hundred, replacing them with a different screw type.
Those hex head screws are easy to drive with the correct bit. I've driven thousands of them when I was in the steel building world.
Maybe that was my issue with hex heads, they never really felt solidly held by the driver socket, very wobbly.
If I ever decide to use hex heads I will bring the driver with me and check the fit.
