You can use 80% of LI capacity (less than that and you're down the curve on cycle life) and still get more than double the cycle life of lead acid. Lots of people are running 2 6V at 232Ah. A single 160Ah 12V LI batt would give them a bit more usable capacity than the 6V's plus you can run a microwave from them at low SOC's without massive voltage sag and Peukert. That website that PT linked has 160Ah "cells" for $170 each, so $680 for a "12V" batt. You can get an inexpensive BMS from HERE which covers cell balancing, high and low voltage cutoffs, and some other stuff. That will probably cost around $100. Then there is copper bus bars, and some strapping to hold the cells together. If you're gonna go this route, read, read, read then read some more.
