Where is the dividing line between hybrid batteries and true cyclable batteries? All labels must have qualifiers for definition and I am asking for the definition of a "Deep Cycle" battery.
Number of cycles to 80% DOD to reach an ending capacity of 80% of original C20 capacity.
More cycles is deeper.

A real simple way is to go by weight. Hybrid batteries normally use lead plates the consistency of a sponge. This allows for better cranking , as there is more surface area for the lead to contact the acid. It also is why they don't last as long. The acid eats the plates faster. A true deep cycle has solid plates. This has the opposite effect, and makes it heavier.
