Why should I switch to golf cart 6v batteries

That is a subject always up for debate with folks that use them. But the consensus is don't fully charge them because it's tricky (and some say unnecessary) to do so. Charging seems pretty simple. Charge them at their bulk until "full". Most use voltage but others use kilowatt-hours cause that's more accurate. Most users have BMS's and set them to auto shut off charging .05V below the HVD. And unlike lead acids, you can pound current into them although most say to keep it at 1C or lower (preferred .5C for longest life). So a 160Ah LI batt can take 80 amps all day long. I was just reading of a guy that went from 4 GC's to a single 160Ah 12V with 500W of solar. He runs his microwave from that single battery. BTW, I'm only speaking of LiFePo4 chemistry, the other stuff is different.
