Why would one battery of 3 be very low on water?

Have had the MH 5 years (2004 model) and the current set of batteries is 3 years old. I run 3- 6 volt(not looking for opinions on this unless relative) and have never had an issue. Today while getting...

Simple, that battery is probably on its last legs. Batteries rarely die a natural death. Most are murdered by improper maintenance including improper charging and discharging.

I would get a hydrometer and test them. If you find the battery that was low has issues then decide if you still want a 3 battery setup.
