Why would one battery of 3 be very low on water?

Have had the MH 5 years (2004 model) and the current set of batteries is 3 years old. I run 3- 6 volt(not looking for opinions on this unless relative) and have never had an issue. Today while getting...

I realize you have room for three.... however just two of the GC2 batteries would have performed better over the same usage and time period.

Salesman was either poorly trained or just concerned about his commission. Probably both.
