Bob, what's Amperage when compressor is OK but Capacitor is shot? I'm thinking it's also Locked Rotor. Is that true?
I'm not sure. I've never tried to measure it, but LRA makes sense. The compressor, or any inductive load, draws LRA at startup, but it's for such a short duration, it won't trip the breaker unless there's some other issue.
