I ran a 1/3 HP sump pump with a Honda 2000 when I had it. (might be 1/2 hp but the label is off)
The 1000 I had would not run it.
1/10 hp should be easy. 1 hp probably not due to start up surge.
What is the lift, pressure and volume you need?
The last camp site I had, we had maybe a 10' lift.. I looked at other secluded camp sites that had about 50' down to the creek and know my little giant 1/10 HP pump would never do that.
The water doesn't pressurize anything and simply dumps into a 125 gallon holding gallon tank. I'm not to worried about how long it takes. Just if it will do it in under a hour.

Not answering your question, but I have a real nice little Honda water pump that pumps great. Tiny little thing, 1/4 the size of the eu2000. Not sure if cost though
I'm also considering the Honda WX10.. But Iv got to many gas engines I barely use as it is! I could also use the Wayne PLS100 electric pump at my farm to irrigate my garden, so it would have more than one use unlike the honda gas water pump. I also read in the reviews for the Wayne PLS100 that one owner compared it to a honda WX10 he had and the Wayne out performed it..
But it would really stink if I bought the Wayne, and my 2000i wouldnt power it..
