will mh chargers fry the batteries?
i have heard that if i leave the MH connected to shore power while in storage it will kill the deep cycle batteries. what i am considering doing is using the CTEK charger to keep the starter battery ...

Anecdotal evidence. Backup generators for sewage pumps. They are supposed to start the generator within about 1 minute of a power outage. When the battery was kept on a "name brand" float charger, the average life expectancy was less than 2 years. When the charger was on a timer that only allowed about an hour of charge time per day, the life expectancy was over 3 years.
