will mh chargers fry the batteries?
i have heard that if i leave the MH connected to shore power while in storage it will kill the deep cycle batteries. what i am considering doing is using the CTEK charger to keep the starter battery ...

You will be fine. I've got a 2006 Winnie Outlook 29b, Same converter, that's been plugged in for about the last 6 years, except when being driven.
Batteries are good, just check the water levels periodically. I've also got a trik-l-start wired into the chassis battery (and plugged into coach 120v system).
No problems at all.
