Wind blowing out pilot on hot water heater
New 2014 KZ Spree Escape. We had it out 4 times and had to fix 2 water leaks. The hot water heater will not stay on if it is the least bit windy. Also, we camp in the Rocky Mtns at altitudes of 7500...

I looked up the trailer on KZ's webpage and it specifies "DSI Water Heater" which means Direct Spark Ignition. In other words not a "standing pilot" that would blow out. Not to say altitude isn't affecting its ability to light and stay lit, but there should NOT be a pilot to be able to blow out. Some of the fridges are so small on these KZ's that they might not be the LP with DSI and 120VAC electric that we get questions about.

For the moment, even though altitude is likely an issue, I'd still be interested in verifying that the LPG system is delivering the proper flow and the regulator is delivering the proper pressure.
