Winegard Carryout loses signal without 12 volt

I guess most of us are being confused by the requirement for 12VDC that is present on the RG cable to power up the internal PRE-AMPLIFIER of the dish unit.

Not being familiar with any of this I am assuming you have an additional 12VDC being provided to the dish motor circuit to move the antenna pointing directions.
