Not being familiar with any of this I am assuming you have an additional 12VDC being provided to the dish motor circuit to move the antenna pointing directions.

The manual implies that the unit needs the additional 12V power to switch between satellites. So apparently the OP moved or is trying to access different channels and now needs to leave the unit plugged into 12V for the motor.
