Winegard Carryout loses signal without 12 volt

I have been using the Carryout for a few years as a full-timer. It worked Thursday. Today when I hooked it up, it worked fine until I unplugged it from the 12 volt. Tried it several times. It has a...

Winegard just told me that 12 volts is needed all the time. The Carryout CAN drift and if 12 volts is connected, will auto correct before it loses the signal. So, IF you disconnect the 12 volt supply and it loses the signal, it is NOT a product malfunction. Doug
