Eight months of installed use 240 cycles, today is 8.5 months use
I think the deepest cycle was 69% SOC 31% DOD
Overnight avg SOC is 80%
Poor solar over the weekend because of the rain
And batteries were slow to recharge on Tuesday
So yesterday Wed, I charge them then did a 15.4v equalize/reconditioning charge for three hours
I think maybe I should do this every 6 months
Yes I kept an eye on the temp
Never got warm, never got above ambient temp
When you did the recondition did you do them all at once or in pairs or ? Interested in how many amps per battery happened at that 15.4 and whether amps tapered in the three hours.
Did you use the VEC on E or the PM3-75ADJ? I suppose the PM since the VEC does 15.7?
The UPG tech said the kind of AGMs I have (different from Mr Wiz's)only need an overcharge like that once a year, but he was not using number or depth of cycles as the interval, which makes more sense than using time.
