The VEC after you push E at the 4 amp setting, with Wet type chosen (or it won't do E) will stay at 14.8ish with the green light flashing until it gets the batteries full (according to the VEC) which can take a while amps tapering, then it goes by itself to 15.7 and back to 4.1 amps which then eventually taper until it says FUL
If you kept R1 intact on the 75, it should do 16.5 max for 15 minutes then drop by itself to 15.5 and stay there.
The ADJ would be better for doing all five at once for sure to get more amps per battery. The VEC does E at the 4 amp setting so that won't do much on five.
I did a trial with the VEC on E on one full pair and the ADJ on another full pair and set the ADJ to 15.5 max (no R1 on that one) so they both were doing about the same voltage and the VEC did its 4.1 amps. The interesting thing was the ADJ was supplying 4.x amps to the other pair too (which was on the Trimetric), so that 4 amps on one full pair at 15.5 was about it anyway.
So perhaps on five full you should see about 10 amps at first then tapering.
I changed that from single batt as I can't be sure now if I did it with pairs of 6s or single T-1275s. Mex has some target amps per batt doing E at 16v but can't remember the amps.
