Workhorse dash red blinking light?

On my '04 HR Vacationer, Workhorse, 8.1, dash there is a red light that was blinking on my last trip out. It is to the right of the instrument cluster, under the second switch of the row, above the A/C / heat controls and appears to be factory installed. Can anybody tell me what it is for? All of the gauges showed normal readings. I didn't experience any drivability issues but assume that it is a warning for something I should be aware of. It blinks randomly, not a steady pattern.

Light is not standard on the WOrkhorse dash
Battery and other workhorse standard lights are all part of the insterment clujster including the parking brake indicator
    Steps is option 1
Somethign to do with the towed (Brakes, (ready brake) or Transmission Lube Pump both install additional lights.

and of course Jacks, and Antenna may have sensors all not "Workhorse" standard
  • A couple of possibilities come to mind. They may be entirely wrong. I don't have any chassis specific knowledge here.

    1. Brake light--either your parking brake isn't quite fully released, or brake fluid is borderline low. (This has hydraulic brakes, right? If not, please kindly ignore what I wrote as it's nonsensical.)

    2. Step extended warning light, blinking because it wasn't quite retracted all the way or because the sensing switch needs adjustment.
