With .105" thick plates and 800 CCA accusing a Lifeline of not being both deep cycle and high CCA is like saying a Bridgestone 11:00 x 22.5" is a dedicated Formula 1 racing tire. Many scumbag wet GC220 batteries have .090" plates. If a manufacturer doesn't brag about thick plates then strike them from the list of contenders.

Are Trojan AGM batteries made by Trojan in their own Trojan factories in the USA? This is a legit question:)

I would say 80% of Lifelines die of horrid treatment not normal plate shedding.

Trojan is legendary deep cycle and lists CCA
Although for deep cycle you are usually looking for a lower CCA as superior. Some applications for deep cycle may still need to meet a CCA so it is listed.

6 volt are true deep cycle and will work well with solar. 12 volt are never true deep cycle. Best case with 12 volt is that they are a dual purpose starting/deep cycle battery not well suited for solar.

TRUE deep cycle AGM or 12V are expensive and not readily available. Trojan T105-AGM (6V GC2 AGM), Trojan T1275 (12V, deep cycle, flooded) and Trojan T1275-AGM (12V, deep cycle, AGM) meet your requirements. (Approximate prices are $150, $250 and $350)

Plain old, flooded, 6V GC2 from Costco or Sams are much more affordable. (Under $100)

For heavy duty long-life and insanely high inverter draws it's not only tough, it's impossible to beat a pair of Lifeline 31 batteries. The initial price is high but lesee the tenth year on my 31XT is coming up and it still shows 97+% capacity.

I have to load test maxed out at 500 amps to make the test useful. At 200 amps the battery is a shade less than 12.1 volts but drops into the very high elevens. A pair of them would make a cup of scalding coffee jump out of the microwave and head on down the highway.

But some folks like settling for Chinese batteries. Reminds me of saving ten dollars on the price of a coat and being almost warm for half the life expectancy of a warm coat. Go figure.

I haven't seen all your posts on your solar/batteries etc but what batteries are you using now? Are you inverting to heavy loads. How many amp hours do you use overnight

Thanks for the info. So if I go with 2 224ah 6v can I assume 448ah wired for 12v?
