I just read a review about the hidden cost of ownership on a Model Y and the chief complaint seemed to be the cost of keeping tires under it. There is a basic rule of vehicles ownership that applies here: Going fast, or more specifically high G forces, leads to high tire costs. And it applies to all vehicles. The silent power available in electric vehicles and the low CG make it easy to shred tires without even knowing it.
