Encouraged too that Biden administration is into it in their insfrasture plans.
Pull throughs and charging cycle-access for Cybertruck is still an outstanding issue.
Is the wifey still canceling her CT order with the smaller trailer purchase?
She’s holding onto it for now. But I can’t see it working out. It means going back to a two car household and that doesn’t make sense for us. It’s also huge overkill for the size of trailer we want. For at least a few years we will be getting on and off lots of ferries and getting into smaller sites. In for or 5 years that may change again but for the time being we need small and compact.
We are covering all bases though. We now find ourselves with a model X reservation as well. But delivery wouldn’t be until next June. I still think we’ll end up with a model Y with trailer package and probably AB performance upgrade. Time will tell. We may be looking at truck camper though with the CT doubt about the sofa feature unless it's classified heavy, can carry the Lance 1172 with a modification of super fat tires at the back in place of dually (interesting discussion of dually mods at the Tesla-Cybertruck forum too). Howdy Yosemite. Yah I pop in once in awhile to pick People’s brains on various topics. Our trailer purchase is pushed back to the new year but still getting some info in advance.
Yah I hear you on the pull thrus. I have seen two new Superchargers in the last few months with some kind of fore thought for trailers. The one in our town could accommodate a trailer but not without taking up a couple or three stalls. But that happens at gas stations too. Not usually an issue until a long weekend. :). Things might change when the Cybertruck is out. It will be interesting to see how Rivian charge sites are laid out.
Some of the best fast charger trailer friendly stalls are being installed by the province and BC hydro. Kind of a long parallel park affair. Few and far in between though.free radical wrote:

If Tesla is guilty of anything it is under estimating the stupidity of many Americans. However, I am really looking forward to Version 10 of FSD that is supposed to be released next month.
Simple solution.
Tesla should make all buyers read vehicle manual and learn how to safely operate AP feature and sign the statement saying so,
before seling them the car.

Good morning Time. One thing we have noticed here in BC is when Tesla builds a Supercharger now they add about 25 percent non Tesla chargers. So for example, they put in a Supercharger about 2 blocks from our house. It has 12 V3 Superchargers and 4 CCS/Chademo stations. Tesla doesn't run the FLO stations. They have an arrangement with FLO that Tesla does the installation but FLO runs their own stations. Tesla gets a grant to cover siting and permitting costs from the government which seems to average around 65000 dollars per location so I have read. They are adding 13 locations like this in BC this year. This location took the Tesla team 3 weeks from start to finish. They work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. BC hydro takes about another week to put in their transformer and then the Tesla tech came back for a day for final inspection.
Fast charge locations in BC are growing fast right now and the plug share locations will probably double over the next 18 months.
Here's a couple pics. We were the first to charge at this one. But the reality is we will never use it as we charge at home. It has been busy since it opened last week though as we are on a crossroads of major routes including Vancouver to Calgary.
The day before it opened. You can see the four CCS/Chademo sites on the end.
This is another one about an hour away in Salmon Arm. You can see the 25 percent ration here again. This 8 and 3 ratio is pretty common in the smaller cities. Not sure and I have heard various versions of this but I have heard that Tesla is doing the maintenance on all all of them.
I'm told the Alaska corridor is still about three years to completion. They have a lot of safety sites to put in on that route. They also need to install a lot of lower powered "safety sites" which are 25 KW locations meant for winter emergencies etc.
Anyway. Thought that might be interesting.
