- That's funny, I see the same map and notice huge, I mean huge gaps in coverage. Like western Iowa, southern Iowa, and lots of other places. You need to scroll that down to just realize how large those gaps really are. Maybe if you live in Minneapolis, or Chicago...
- I don't see a problem charging a Tesla.
- Wow - I missed several pages in the last three days while I drove to Iowa and back. Sure was great taking a 3 piece sectional and dining room table and 6 chairs. Stopped a couple times (5 minutes) on the way out since I had too much coffee. Was nice having 600 miles of range, never had anxiety.
Although I did spend a couple minutes waiting in line at Sam's Club to save $6 on the fill up. At least I know that they will not go in and shop when fueling there. time2roll wrote:

We took this picture in your country last week. Close to Orville washington. HAAAAWWWTTT. I think the fahrenheit scale said something like 102 degrees. Glad we had power for the AC. Nice park. Right on orville lake.

We are now at Pinnacels National Park where mid day temperature hits 100. And we can't venture out, much less hike to the sites.
First time I've seen a 46 degree swing in early morning and mid day temperature.
Nice campsite and not congested. School must be starting early out there.
Two week ago, public campsites were impossible to book.
Yah, our trip was a bit of a bust as other than first thing in the morning it was just too hot to hike. But we took in a couple wineries and loaded up on peaches back on our side of the border headed back up the valley. Last year there were so many forest fires that it was just too smoky. Like anything else compare apples to apples. If you intend to pull a 25 foot high 11 foot tall trailer at 110 kph find someone who pulls something similar and pick his brain. In our experience frontal load, height and speed are the big factors.
We had no problem crossing the country in our combo. Everyone has different needs and wants. But careful on drawing too many conclusions from these YouTube tow offs. There are lots of folks on the Facebook ev towing forums getting 200 to 300 kilometres of range with their F150 lightnings towing their smaller trailers. Right tool, right job etc.

I'll be happy if it gets a range of 150 to 180 miles while towing as this is my normal bathroom-lunch breaks between campsites.
I'm also thinking of getting a better streamlined truck camper to get to a comfortable range.
