I actually did this several weeks ago, but I just read this thread for the first time today.
I changed the oil and filter, filled up the gas tank, washed my truck, hooked up the batteries on a battery tender (she's a 2011 Ford F-350 King Ranch 6.7L dually) and put her into storage until sometime next May.
All last year I only ran her enough to go through a full tank of gas, which was about the same as I've done the prior couple years.
Sad, but true. I'm sure my truck gets lonely just sitting inside a dark building most of the time.
However, happier days for my truck are coming in the future as I've just ordered a new Northern Lite camper to be available next spring. My truck and I are going to have to get to know one another better!
