I remembered that sometimes you have to lock your hubs. Based on research, it seems the actuator is probably out. Yep, you guessed it. I found out because I needed 4 wheel drive. It took a few times to get up my driveway in Montana with the DRW with really aggressive tires. Thinking about it. I thought the 4x4 couldn't have really been engaged. Driving it around with the 4x4 on. The steering didn't have the telltale feel.
The worse part, I had a Mustang on the trailer, so I had to be very careful. Of course, the next time, it feels funny I will lock the hubs even though it will probably work from now on when I fix it. :)
