What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

  • For the past few days I've been working on an HID retrofit project for my Ram… trying to squeeze Acura TL bi-xenon projectors into the stock headlamp housings. It's become a fairly big undertaking, not so much the mounting part but making the whole assembly look like a factory install and have enough adjustment to get the beam cut-off aligned perfectly. I think that I have another week's worth of work to do in order to get it all buttoned up (I've only got a couple hours each night after the kids are in bed).

  • Funny you should ask...
We have been trying to get time to renew all the brakes, So off came the front dually hubs, bearings, pads and callipers, rear drum, seals and linings. Replaced the whole lot with new. As many of you would know..."just a quick job". Especially when the rear seal had been gone for about 3 months, what a mess to clean up. When I walk out the back I can still smell the diff oil and brake dust.
Now it should stop, when I tell it to!
Next is to find some longer air bags, to cope with the suspension travel.
    Good idea for a thread.
