I think anyone with a dually is going to say a dually is the way to go with this big of a trailer. A dually just is not practical for me as this is my daily driver. I once loaded the trailer to the max, full machines, gas, water, food, everything and I was 2,500 lbs over GCWR. The trailer can get to 17,000 lbs really easy so I have to load accordingly.
I have airbags and monitor tires real-time like a hawk. My weak-point on this truck is the rear axle and I'm 4% over max when loaded. Everything else is under max except GCWR. You have to be careful with this truck because it has so much power, it's easy to bite off more than one should.
