.88 diesel

Folks this is an election year. Don't get all excited about low gas prices. Can't you see what is happening? We were told a number of things after 2008 that explained why oil prices suddenly went through the roof. Aren't all those things still in place? Has gas come down in price around the world? Have new refineries come online? Do we have the pipe line? Think!! It ain't going to last much beyond early 2017.

I've mentioned this before, and it's almost like stealing legally....

When I need to make a major purchase at a place that Safeway sells gift cards for, I go in to Safeway, buy some gift cards, with the credit card that earns points for purchases.
I get bonus fuel points for the Safeway fuel, plus bonus points on the credit card.

Sometimes Safeway has double or quad points for gift card purchases.

They won't. Right now most of the goods in stores were made when oil was high. Can't sell at a loss. Then when those goods are all gone you'd be a fool to turn down free money. Finally, the $15/hr minimum wage is coming.

Many places that rely on fuel buy long term contracts at set prices to equalize volatility of operating costs. If they are locked into a long contract at higher prices, the distributor is making additional margin and not the airline or trucking company.

From what I've read this cheap fuel should last quite awhile. Latest predictions are oil selling for close to $20 in the near future.
I guess it's good but the reasons behind it aren't IMO.
Might be time to buy oil stocks when it hits $20. There's no way oil's staying at $20-30 for very long.

Exit 5 on I95 in South Carolina, diesel 1.89, regular gas 1.56. Hope it holds out for a while.

Yesterday at Sam's I filled up with $1.42 diesel in NE Okla. After fuel went into the stratosphere I never thought it would be this low again.

Well around here Freddys DOES shut off IF you are using fuel rewards. Shuts off at 35 gallons. If your not using fuel rewards, then it shuts off at $125.

And I've done safeway at close to 30 gallons with fuel points without shutting off.

My last diesel fillup at freddy's was 34 gallons at $1.09/gallon with fuel points.
