Payload in that TT is rather low. It WILL be heavier than you expect. I predict you will be close to or at the GVWR, and that's with empty tanks. Dragging a long 9K TT around like that will not be fun. Actual tongue wt. will be up around 1200 lbs or so when fully loaded for camping. Truck will need enough payload cap. and will need a suitably rated WDH.
No way in heck would I tow that thing with a 1/2 ton around the west coast with all the twisty mountain roads and grades we have. Heck, I just blew up the V10 in our F250 from towing our TT around the hills from BC to California and it's only 8K lbs. Until you tow with a 3/4 ton or larger truck, you won't know how much better a stronger truck is. We just got a GM 2500 with 6.0 engine and it struggles on much above 6% grades.
I'm in the camp that it's too much TT for the truck unless you stay on the flat and only travel locally. Don't fall into the confirmation bias trap. Just an internet opinion...
