I don't know Wayne, but my sense is it would not hurt. I haven't had a problem in my Honda and I don't run it all that often. I do use Sea Foam in all my gas motors. Now that I have said no snot problem I am going camping, leaving this evening and hope I haven't jinxed myself.
The snot problem in my Dodge was severe, three filters in less than 100 miles. Never dropped the tank just sucked the fuel out and thru a filter then back in. That and liberal dose of algecide. I suspect I must have pumped in some old biodiesel by mistake. These days I run a prefilter also.
