Most RVers use their TV for other purposes besides towing. Plus, the EPA does not test vehicles with a tow load. Point being, if you can have a transmission that gives you a wider gear ratio you will have the power to "launch" a fully loaded TV with a "normal" rear axle ratio. Then when you are driving without a load, you will still get good fuel economy.
