If you are over your rear axle rating now with the #800 TW on the trailer, then what's the rear GAWR of the 2017?
If it's the same #4050 rear GAWR, then the payload really means nothing.
But, that's all up to you to decide which rating you go over, right?

The rear GAWR on my '13 w/3.55 is 3850. I have been -50 and +70 the two times I weighed it. Both times I could have moved some stuff from the truck to the camper. I'll learn to do that one of these days. I think the 2017 specs are the same as '15, 3800 rear GAWR. But the truck is lighter, so there should be more load carrying capacity. I haven't found anything different from that.
