In other words you really should just test it out. Run a couple of tanks of each and compare.
There is less energy in ethanol and the computer cannot adjust for that.

Since the subject was mileage, you should know that fuel with less energy will deliver less mileage and there is no adjustment that will make that fact go away, but then I live in the real world.
