1000 pound tongue weight: 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton???

Hi, I am looking at a new trailer that has a 1000 pound tongue weight (dry). Should I be looking at a 3/4 ton truck or will a newer 1/2 ton suffice? I know that some of the new Ford F-150s have pre...

By the time you have the tongue weight of a loaded trailer, the weight of the WDH, passengers, gear, firewood, tools, etc. you will likely be overloading most any 1500 truck.
