1000 pound tongue weight: 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton???

I think your in 3/4 ton truck territory at those weights. Maybe could find a half ton that would work, but it'd have to be one with the high max tow packages.

I upgraded from a 2015 1500 Silverado the end of December, and I would not go back. As long as i can manage, I'll have either a 3\4 or one ton truck going forward.

I also had a 1999 f250 superduty and a 97 ram 2500 and those trucks were my favorites before this ram. Just my opinion though. Ymmv.
