Too bad they quit, it sure looks like a sweet set-up, but at only 17.5k GVWR, add service body, extra carried cargo weight and passengers and it might be getting close, if not over (??) - heck even my stock14k GVWR 3500 DRW diesel, 4x4 approaches 15k when fully stocked (with less!) and 2 passengers, this with a similar single slide camper…Now add a tow extension! Just saying is all….

GM makes med duty trucks still/again. And you’re better off with your new rig or a ford. They also have a taller cab. Not as tall as the old Kodiaks though.
The big detractor to using a Kodiak is height. They’re obtrusively tall for a TC application, imo. I found one years back, seemed like a good idea because it was a discount way to get a Dmax Alli cc 4x4. But after measuring heights, it would have been well over 13’ tall and almost a whole flight of stairs to get in it.
