the term "half ton towabl" does NOT mean that ALL half ton trucks can tow it. It merely means that there are SOME that will tow the trailer without oveloading it. Give it a thought, it certainly wouldn't mean that the lowest powered and LEAST capable version offered by ANY manufacturer could tow it. I don't think I've ever heard ANY manufacturer of RVs make a claim that even MOST half ton trucks can tow their trailer.
Always check the SPECIFIC numbers for the SPECIFIC truck you plan on towing it with. For example, the Fords with a 11,300 lb. maximum trailer rating and up to 3,050 lb. payload umbers would be able to tow a whole lot of RVs that no other would be able to tow and stay within the ratings. That truck would CERTAINLY tow trailers that my own F 150 with it's 2,550 lb. payload would NOT be able to tow.
