12V power into the bed?

I only ran from battery to the front of the grill so I was able to keep my load/amps I needed safely on the 2/0 cable. Your run will be much longer. I opt to run my inverter on the front when tent camping, and being a diesel I can just let it idle or put the tune on high idle for higher alternator output. Good Luck!

If your expecting a high amp draw you need a whole separate power feed from your electrical system. I installed a 17,500 lb. winch on my 2002 F350. I will include a picture to give you some ideas how to supply power and isolate. Here’s a quick list of materials I used:
•Blues Seas Disconnect- rated 500 Amps
•Spartan ANL fuse holder- I have fuses ranging in 200, 300, 350, 400, 500 depending on my use: winch or inverters.
•2/0 welding Cable
•Quick disconnect plugs

Check your wire size and Ampacity and resistance drop for your length of run from your battery to your bed.

I did this on mine and added the disconnect as a safety function in case of front collision.

Yes, that's how it works.

With 12 volt, you have have a lot of current loss with length. How about adding batteries to the bed and tying them into your rv charging system?

The breaker never tripped with my cappuccino or microwave.
