13 silverado 1500 6.2 question
This seems like a powerhouse is it ?? what is the power of the 6.2 and is there anyway of knowing from the outside of the truck if it has a 6.2 ??

Who said it got BETTER mileage? 3 of us said it got within 1 mpg of the 5.3. And yes, like any internal combustion engine, if you drive it hard mileage does suffer. BTW I've owned 5.3s a 96,99,05,and an 09. Best I've got with ANY of those was 15/19.
This guy... Can you not read? And by the way there was no 5.3 available in 96.
We love ours and yes, we are getting better mileage than we did with our 05 5.3L. It is easy to tell which engine it has, by looking at the exhaust. 5.3L is out the side behind the tire, 6.2L is straight out the back with a 3" deep throat exhaust. It is one towing beast and will break all tires loose if you romp on it, so you have to get used to 400+HP and the 420# torque. According to our dealer, it is going to be the replacement engine for the 6.0L in the 14 model year.
Sorry I got one truck wrong. It was a 5.7. I can't understand why you say it gets worse mileage then you say it gets better mileage? Never mind. BTW it's got a 3.5" exhaust. Have a nice life!
