2005 was the year with no O/D lockout, PITA, so they came up with a software mod BUT you lost the Tow/Haul feature. Dumb. I had the mod performed and the shift pattern sucked so I put a Trans-Go kit in the valve body, problem solved, shifts like an old time Torqueflite. I have changed fluid six times by removing the return line and letting it dump into a bucket when I started it to flush it. Takes about 20 qts to do it that way but ALL the old fluid is removed. Got the idea off the TDR Forum. Always adjusted both bands and it works as well as a new one. Chryslers software for trans control ain't the best...but it is doable.
