My old '97 light duty F250 had hub centric wheels, something new to me at the time. A square cut o-ring filled the small gap between wheel and hub. When one of them slipped and got mashed behind the wheel, I went to the dealer for spares. No spares, they said to take them off. Later I saw the Service Bulletin that said the same. Guess absolute center isn't that important. Had to change out the lug nuts due to a recall also.
