Hello everyone,I thought I would start a thread to share my new project. This will be the first time I have ever done something like this so it will be one heck of an adventure. In the end, I hope to rebuild and fix her up to better than new. I will be stripping her all the way down to the frame. Then I will be building her back up and customizing her to my liking. I will definitely be posting questions in some of the other sections on appliances and odds and ends. Fingers crossed and hoping to an exciting adventure!

Tread lightly as things like those plastic fender skirts are about $200 each plus shipping. I just paid $300 for one. It looks pretty straight on the outside. Good luck to you and post more pics.

Here is the start of the disassembly. I plan on re-using the aluminum siding. It will be getting cleaned up and once reassembled, a new paint job.There is a TON of wood rot on this trailer. It has sat since 2008 with no upkeep. I am going to try and salvage the appliances if possible.I will be using the old frames as templates to build new ones. I plan on beefing up in a few places.

As the siding is coming off, you can see there is a good amount of rot.

Looks very familiar, mine leaked in all the same places. I'd suggest to think about replacing the old jalousie windows with better windows. I replaced some of mine with residential Low-E sliders. It is a great improvement. Check out the restoration thread in my signature line, "the Cowboy/Hilton". It might give you an idea or two.
