Patti - Glendale_290ExplorerHi Patti;
Your 1975 Scamper was probably produced by Glendale Recreational Vehicles which would have made the Scamper in their Western Canada plant in either Lethbridge or Wetaskawin Alberta and Strathroy Ontario. Glendale used a pretty generic manual that covered all their brands of trailers such as Glendette, Golden Falcon and Scamper during the 1970s. An older well established rv dealer in your province may have carried Glendale trailers from this era and may have a copy of the generic manual or know where to get one. You may want to post a message on Kijjji as well as someone out there may have a copy. As some other posts have mentioned the information you may need can be found right here on this forum and through the publications mentioned. Many of the systems and construction techniques used back in 1975 are still being used today. Enjoy your Scamper , a very popular trailer in its day and many are still be used in campgrounds and on the roads here in Canada.
Lou - n7bsnExplorerI really recommend you get a copy of "The RV Repair and Maintenance Manual" by Bob Livingston.
It explains how everything in your rig works, and how to maintain and repair that system. - Patti_MKExplorerThankyou for the info !! Much appreciated :)
- GdetrailerExplorer IIIOwners manuals printed by most RV manufacturers are really not worth worrying about. They do not contain any real useful info like plumbing, electrical and any other specific info. Basically nothing more than an general overview of the features.
The manuals you most likely will want is for the appliances and those are not contained in the actual trailer manual. Instead they are simply tossed in loose with any other documentation.
The manuals for the appliances can be often found on the Internet as PDF downloads. Simply gather the manufacturer name and model of your fridge, stove, furnace, water heater then have at it with google..
If you get stuck, simply post the model numbers and most likely someone here will be able to point you in the right direction. - gboppExplorerYou're welcome. There is a lot of information available on the forum. Don't hesitate to ask questions, someone usually has an answer.
Remember, at one time none of us knew anything about RV's and camping.
Enjoy your travels. - Patti_MKExplorerThankyou for the welcome. This is our first camper - have always tented before this.
- gboppExplorerWelcome to the forum. I can't help you, hopefully another member will have what you need.
If you get no information from the forum, try Tin Can Tourists, it's a site for vintage TT's and other RV's.
