The first trailer I bought last year was cheap (I didn't realize it). After using it for 2 trips, I realized that the floor plan didn't work for me, so I traded up this past spring. The new TT had better-built materials, stabilizer jacks, etc. The quality was better. That mattered to me. If I'd had someone who I could ask questions and go with me (I'm a single 63 yr. old female) I probably could have bought a good, used TT. However, I felt I had to buy a new one since I wanted a warranty in case something went haywire. You have 90 days from the time you pick up your trlr to take it in for warranty work, so you have to take it out and use it to see what doesn't work right--and believe me, you'll find things. I tent camped 'way back when my kids were younger (I had 6, was single). It was like going on the Oregon trail! Now I love having a shower, a dry, warm place inside, a toilet, bed, fridge & microwave. Your family will, too! Look at lots, go with all the excellent advice above, and go for it.
