That is a lot of payload capacity for a 1500 series truck. Does the calculated/listed weight match what's on that door pillar label?
Assuming 2300 lbs is a correct number and your weights for the trailer are correct, your result is a tow combination that is right on the edge of what's prudently possible.
I'm going to put this out here and I may be crossing some lines with my opinions. I wouldn't drive cross country with that combination.
With a 3.42 drive ratio, the large weight towed, and length of trailer, I'd anticipate a trip where the engine is screaming a lot, my concentration was at it's highest to control the trailer, and every time I stopped somewhere it was like going to truck driving school. In other words, a tow combination that left me ragged at the end of the day.
Beyond that, I would be worried about the state of my truck going through the experience-- Is it straining the drive train and taking years off it's life? Are the brakes and suspension being overloaded? Etc.
It's pretty common knowledge that towing weight right at the edge of the vehicle's GVWR may lead to handling problems and that is where the high concentration while driving happens. It is also called "white knuckle" towing. The first time that trailer decides to go Southwest while you're driving and you want/anticipate to go South, your hands will be gripping the wheel so hard, that your knuckles are white.
I see a few posts on the Forum from new folks that choose that big, all-amenities trailer and have a 1/2 ton truck. They are back here posting their decision to upgrade their truck. I assume some just grin and bear it or choose to make short trips. It's not the way I like to travel but, hey, that's what makes America great.
My recommendation for a smaller trailer is still the same. I would also be curious about the listed cargo weight off the door pillar if you choose to share it.
Good luck and happy trails.
